Saba Cares Foundation

Saba Cares' medical care is provided to the community of Saba in the A.M. Edwards Medical Center in The Bottom. Our patients consist of local residents, medical students and faculty from the Saba University School of Medicine, and tourists visiting the island for leisure or business.

Our goal is to create focus on the community of Saba to establish a connection where the community is open to sharing any questions and challenges they have.

Access to the beautiful island of Saba from the sea is on the south-west shore of the island at Saba's only port Fort Bay Harbor. The port’s facilities have recently expanded and the island’s power plant has been relocated, resulting in a more peaceful environment. Coordinates: 17.616N - 63.252W.

Center for Youth and Family on Saba offers parents and other educators helping hand.

As of 1 January 2011, there is a compulsory healthcare insurance for all residents of the islands Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba (the Dutch Caribbean). This uniform insurance introduces more legal equality and prevents people from being uninsured. The insurance provides for medical care (‘cure’) and long-term care (‘care’). Saba LIFE Center will serve as the focal point for Saba’s older adults. We promote independence and healthy aging through educational, cultural, and therapeutically recreational programs and services.

Saba Reach Foundation serves to facilitate sustainable employment and participation opportunities for (young) adult residents of Saba with a distance to the labor market.
