New ATMs: What You Need to Know About Withdrawal Fees

De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) wants residents to know about the fees that may apply when withdrawing cash at the new ATMs. These fees are charged by your bank and are currently not shown on the ATM screen, so it’s worth knowing the costs before you withdraw.

Fees for locally issued debit cards

• RBC Visa: USD 2.35 per withdrawal
• MCB Mastercard: USD 2.65 per withdrawal, plus USD 0.081 for every USD 10 withdrawn

Good to know

• The fees are set and charged by the cardholder’s bank, not by DNB or Brinks, and may change at the bank’s discretion.
• Banks apply these fees to cover the costs VISA and Mastercard charge for processing ATM transactions.
• Because the fee is not shown on the ATM screen, the charge will appear on your bank statement only after the transaction is completed.
