German company has developed a hurricane-proof, wind-driven generator. An option for Saba?
Why this non-sense in Saba-News?

Is harnessing an abundant ressource for cheap & clean energy not newsworthy or of interest?

Man arrested in Saba for growing marijuana
Here we go again. The Netherlands allows smoking hemp, aka marijuana. They do NOT have a year round grow season. Saba does. The Saba government needs to wake up, make money, and reduce the Saban tax burden. A legal product in the “home” Netherlands country? And you bust someone for a few plants?
Google Amsterdams coffee shops if you don’t believe. The Island is missing making some cash to help reduce Saban living expenses.

Delegation of Members of the Senate will visit Saba on February 27-28
There are ALWAYS delegations from the Dutch government coming to visit the Caribbean islands during their cold months. We are continually getting surveys to fill out. We are being looked at and studied a bit like new species of animals. Then more consultants and interns and government officials come to look at us and ask the same questions. Some say they need to understand from the top down, some from need to understand from the bottom up. There are very nice articles written about their comings and goings. It is unclear if they care about our answers. It is often unclear if they are listening. We never get real answers to our questions. The process is sad and exhausting.

Heleen will always be “at the top of her game.” Her artistic talent has allowed so many people around the world to appreciate and enjoy Saba’s natural beauty. Her support and talent sharing for other budding artists has insured a long legacy of incredible art on Saba. Thank you, Helene and Tom, for keeping Saba the “Unspoiled Queen”.
